College: Corella is entering his fourth season playing for the Red Hawks. He earned California Pacific Conference Freshman of the Year (2011-2012) and second team All-Cal Pac honors his freshman and sophomore years. He recieved the 2013-2014 team Outstanding Offensive Player award. He was also a 2013-2014 scholar-athlete and has been on the Dean’s List for three years.

High School: Corella played four years of varsity basketball at Chino Hills High School. He also played volleyball. His athletic honors include receiving the Coaches Award in 2010 and being named first team all-league (2009-2010), second team all-league (2008-2009), all-tournament (2007-2008), and team MVP (2007-2008). He was selected for the All-American third team in 2007-2008. He earned the Academic Athlete Award in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010.

Personal: Ian is the son of William and Debra Corella. Some of his hobbies include playing the piano and outdoor activities, such as hiking, playing disc golf, and sports.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose Simpson because Simpson gave me the best opportunity to play basketball in college and the opportunity to better my education and future."
