Men's Baseball Coaching Staff
Travis Fortner - Head Coach
While Coach Fortner assisted the Red Hawks during the 2010-2011 season in developing a strength and conditioning program, the 2011-2012 season is his first year as an assistant coach. He will continue developing the player's strength and conditioning program this year. Fortner's goal is to help the Red Hawks have their most athletic team to date by implementing an extensive weight training and plyometric program.
As a player, Fortner was the first person from his high school to earn All-League honors all four years as a varsity player. He played two years of baseball at the College of the Siskiyous, where he led the team in home runs both years. He then received a scholarship to continue his college baseball career at York College, a small NAIA Christian liberal arts school in central Nebraska. While at York, he assisted the Panthers to their first two regional playoff appearances in school history. He also held many team strength and conditioning records. Fortner played in the outfield during his college years.
