Men's Basketball Coaching Staff

HEAD COACH: Jon King

Coach Jon King has been coaching for the past 30 years. King has been NBC Co-Site Director for the past 10 years at Simpson University and has lead two NBC tour teams to the British Isles in 2003 and 2004. Jon coached Redding Christian School to two Division V Section titles in 2005-06 and 2008-09 season. He also was selected NSCIF Coach of the year in 2006. He and his wife Carla reside in Redding, Calif. and have two children, Deidra and Nathan.

ASSISTANT COACH: Marc Vilas

Coach Vilas has been coaching for the past nine years at the high school level. He is married to Christy Swagerty-Vilas, who will serve as the head coach for the volleyball program at Simpson University. Coach Vilas spent six years coaching at Santa Fe Christian for both the boys and girls varsity programs. During those years he had the privilege of helping Head Coach Randy Wright lead the boys varsity program to four straight CIF Championship games and the State Championship game in 2006. Coach Vilas has also coached at Capistrano Valley Christian, Tri-City Christian and two different club basketball programs. In the summer he also coaches for NBC Camps in California.

TEAM MANAGER: Tyler Stickney

Tyler played for three years under Coach King at Redding Christian School from 2004-2006. He is a passionate student of the game of basketball and enjoys working with the team and motivating players. He works for the school's facilities department and helps keep the school looking its best.
