Head Coach: Joe Griffin
jgriffin@simpsonu.eduJoe Griffin has been a college Athletic Director for 14 years and has been involved in college coaching for 20 years. During those years he has coached multiple sports with basketball being his main sport. Since he enjoyed the game of golf, he decided to start a golf program. He coached golf collegiately at Atlanta Christian College for the final five years that he was in Atlanta. The program participated in three years NCCAA National Golf Tournaments, held in South Carolina, Florida and Ohio.
Tierra Oaks is a private golf course located in Redding and the home to the SU Red Hawks golf teams. You can view the golf course at www.tierraoaksgc.com.
Joe and his wife Carla have resided in Redding since September of 2007. They have three children: Chris, David, and Risa.
Joe states – “With a great school like Simpson University, the most beautiful location with the mountains and lakes, great weather and a great little city like Redding, it is just a great place to come and be a part of.”
