College: Crystal Nybo enters her second season with the Red Hawks. She proved to be an offensive and defensive threat in her first season with Simpson, and her teammates will look for her consistency to help them this year. Nybo is very versatile and can play down low as well as at the guard spot.

High School: Nybo played three years of varsity basketball at Woodinville High School. She also played volleyball and tennis. Her athletic honors include honorable mention in volleyball and basketball. She played club basketball for the Flight.

Personal: Nybo started playing basketball in the third grade and hasn’t stopped since. Her brothers all played and her dad was a basketball coach while she was growing up. Her favorite thing about basketball is the team aspect of the sport. She played individual sports like tennis and says nothing compares to the team bond she experienced with basketball.

Crystal is the daughter of Stan and Candace Nybo and has three brothers. Off the court she enjoys all kinds of water sports and being in the water in general. Originally a nursing major, Crystal works very hard in the classroom and is now a business major. She chose Simpson for the school’s religious stance and athletic program.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose Simpson because it's a religious school where I could take nursing and play basketball."
