College: Weckerle entering her second season playing for the Lady Red Hawks. She transferred to Simpson prior to the 2011 season from the University of Nevada. She also attended College of the Siskiyous, Mendocino College. She played softball at Mendocino College where she earned second team (2009) and first team (2010) all-conference honors for her play at center field. She hold an A.A. in social science.

High School: Wekerle played two years of varsity basketball in high school. She also competed in softball and track. She earned all-league and all-section honors and was the Siskiyou County Athlete of the year 2008.

Personal: Kaitlin is the daughter of Larry Weckerle and Debbie Weddle. Her hobbies include playing basketball, doing anything outdoors, and listening to music. Her career goal is to become a social worker.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I came to Simpson to successfully graduate with a bachelor's degree while playing basketball. I also want to develop a stronger relationship with God."
