College: Cox is entering her first year playing for Simpson.

High School: Cox played three years of varsity basketball at Calaveras High School. She also played volleyball and soccer. She was the 2012 MLL girls’ basketball MVP and a member of the MLL girls’ basketball league championship team in 2010-2011 and 2011-2012. She was the 2012 Athlete of the Year and won the San-Joaquin Division IV championship and sportsmanship award. She was also a team captain and a member of the six-county girls’ basketball all-star team.

Personal: Madison is the daughter of Jim and Heidi Miller and Clinton Cox. Her hobbies include listening to music, playing the guitar and piano, spending time with family and friends, going to the lake/ocean, and wakeboarding. Her career goal is to become a registered nurse.

Reason for coming to Simpson: " I chose Simpson because it is a private Christian university with a state of the art nursing program, and I wanted to be a part of the women's basketball program."
