College: Cox is entering her second year playing for Simpson. She earned Second Team All-Cal Pac and NCCAA DI West Region Honorable Mention honors her freshman year.

High School: Cox played three years of varsity basketball at Calaveras High School. She also played volleyball and soccer. She was the 2012 MLL girls’ basketball MVP. She was the 2012 Athlete of the Year and was a sportsmanship award recipient. Her team won the JV Mother Lode League Championship (2009), the varsity Mother Lode League championship (2011-2012), and the CIF section championship (2012). She was also a team captain and a member of the six-county girls’ basketball all-star team. She was an honor student and a member of the California Scholastic Federation and Spanish Honors Society. She maintained a 3.8+ GPA.

Personal: Madison is the daughter of Jim and Heidi Miller and Clinton Cox. Her hobbies include playing the guitar and piano, outdoor activities and participating in water sports. Her career goal is to become a nurse.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose Simpson to be a part of a Christian community, receive a Christ-centered education, play basketball and enroll in the nursing program."
