College: Cormack is entering her second year at Simpson. Her strong work ethic and commitment will be an important factor in helping the Lady Red Hawks succeed. Previous to joining the Lady Red Hawks she played two seasons at Bakersfield College earning the Renegade Award twice. Her academic honors include being a President Scholar for two years.

High School: Valerie played four years of varsity soccer at Kern Valley High School. She also ran cross country and track and played tennis. Her high school athletic awards include MVP and All-League soccer honors, and JV MVP cross country honors. Her academic achievements include AP honors.

Personal: Valerie is the daughter of Tom and Janet Cormack. Some of her hobbies are making crafts, kayaking, and rafting. Her favorite athlete is Rebecca Giddens. Her career ambition is to be a teacher.

Reason for coming to Simpson: “I came to Simpson to play with one of my good friends and because of Coach Nate Huntsinger.”
