College: Nevard is returning for her third season playing for Simpson's women's soccer team. She is a very athletic player who can play defense as well as in the midfield. Her speed and intelligent play will contribute to the success of the Lady Red Hawk soccer team. Her academic achievements include being on the Dean's List.

High School: Nevard played three years of varsity soccer for Life Christian School. She also ran track. She was team captain and earned most inspiring and Defensive MVP awards. She played club soccer for Hillsboro Soccer Club, Aloha United, and Russian League. Her academic accomplishments include being on the honor roll.

Personal: Kyra is the daughter of Peter and Charlene Nevard. She enjoys the outdoors and all it has to offer, from running to hiking to swimming in the Hawaiian ocean. She loves the assortment of cultures in our world. She was raised in a multi-cultured household and has been able to experience the beauty of diversity. Her career goal is to work in human resources.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose to attend Simpson University because it had the Business Communication degree I was very interested in. Also when I was trying out to play on the Simpson soccer team, the girls and the coach encouraged me and gave me hope to continue with my soccer career after four surgeries. I have never met a more caring and strong group of girls. I feel blessed to be apart of the Simpson soccer women."
