High School: Bravo-Barajas played four years of varsity softball at Salinas High School. She earned honorable mention (2010), second team all-league (2011), first team all-league (2012, 2013), athlete of the week (2012), best offensive player (2012), and varsity MVP (2013) honors. She was also on the California All-County (2012, 2013) and Herald All-County (2013) teams. She played club softball for the San Jose Sting, the San Jose Strikers, and the Salinas Storm.

Personal: Marissa is the daughter of Veronika Barajas and Cristoval Bravo. Her hobbies include singing and sports.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I came to Simpson to play softball and to get a great education."
