College: Castellanos is entering her fourth season playing for the Red Hawks.

High School: Castellanos played four years of varsity softball at South El Monte High School. She also played soccer and competed in track and wrestling. She earned Rookie of the Year cross-country honors, Best Defensive Player and second team all-league soccer honors, and honorable mention and second team all-league softball honors. She played club softball for the Rampage, Prime Time, Strike Force, and Team Smith.

Personal: Julissa is the daughter of Hector Ray and Olga Castellanos. Her hobbies include living a healthy, active lifestyle fueled by Herbalife, being a health coach, fitness, movies, and music. Her career goal is to be go into family law.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose Simpson for the opportunity to further my softball career. With that, I am also able to further my education and pursue my B.A. in psychology. God has given me the strength to pursue my endeavors."
