College: Johnson is returning for her third season with the Red Hawks. Her athletic achievements include being named team most improved in 2011. Her academic accomplishments include being named to the Dean's List in fall 2010 and spring 2011.

High School: Johnson played three years of varsity volleyball at Nikiski High School, where she was able to be a National Scholar Athlete. She played club volleyball for the Midnight Sun. She also competed in basketball and track and field. She earned various honors include, being a state champion in shot put, most improved in volleyball and basketball, and team MVP in track. She was also awarded the title Female Athlete of the Year. Her academic honors include Nikiski Key Club academic lettering for four years, being a VA Scholar, graduating with honors, being salutatorian of her high school class, and being Student of the Year.

Personal: Kassandra is the daughter of Tim and Charlene Johnson. Her hobbies include doing a lot of outdoor activities and riding her snow machine in the winter.

Reason for coming to Simpson: " I feel at home here. It's twice as hot, but I feel like I am family here and it was the right choice for me."
