College: Mattingly is entering her first season playing for the Lady Red Hawks.

High School: Mattingly played four years of varsity volleyball at Chester High School. She also played basketball, soccer and tennis. She earned all-league volleyball, basketball and tennis honors and was chosen to play basketball for Down Under Sports in Australia. She served as ASB vice president, was a four-year scholar athlete, had perfect attendance from kindergarten to high school graduation, was in the top eight of her class, was on the principal’s honor roll for six years, and is a lifetime member of the California Scholastic Federation.

Personal: Brittany is the daughter of Jacquelyn Mattingly. Her hobbies include dancing, sports, staying active, art, music, the outdoors, star-gazing, and food. She loves her mom and her sister, Allysha. God is number one in her life. Her career goal is to become a surgeon.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "In a way, I didn't choose. God chose Simpson for me. Simpson provides a small school feel, with the sense of a strong community, and the opportunity to continue my volleyball career. It will give me the opportunity to grow in my relationship with God and have other Christ followers support me through that."
