College: Stepper is entering her first season playing volleyball for Simpson. She was on the women's basketball team her freshman year.

High School: Stepper played three years of varsity volleyball at Bella Vista High School. She also played basketball and competed in track. During her junior year, she was in the top 20 of the San Joaquin Section for most blocks during the season. In her senior year, she was in the top five for the most blocks of the season. She was a scholar-athlete all four years.

Personal: Shelby is the daughter of Chris and Ann Stepper. She likes to read and be active even when her sport season is over. She is a very social person who loves to meet new people. Her career goal is to become a museum curator.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose Simpson because I like the small school atmosphere, I like how the class sizes are small and how you are able to talk to the professors when you need the help. I also like Simpson because I am able to play the sport I love."
