College: Pickett is entering her fourth season playing for the Red Hawks. During her freshman year, she was named team-voted co-MVP and earned California Pacific Conference honorable mention honors. During her junior year, she was team captain and earned the team’s Most Inspirational award. Her academic accomplishments include being on the Dean's List, having the highest female athlete GPA for 2012-2013, and being a scholar-athlete (2013-2014).

High School: Pickett played four years of varsity volleyball at Faith Christian High School, as well as, six years of club volleyball with Juggernaut Volleyball Club. She also played softball and golf in high school. Her athletic achievements include being named to the All-State Volleyball Tournament Team, the all-conference second team, and the all-conference first team twice. She also earned Metro League Senior of the Year honors. Her high school team competed in the state championship tournament for three consecutive years and finished second in 2008. Her club team finished fifth at nationals during her final season. She graduated with high honors and was a four-year academic letterman.

Personal: Jamie is the daughter of Mike and Melody Pickett. Her hobbies include sports, any outdoor activity (biking, hiking, fishing, swimming, camping, disc golf, etc.) and really anything involving the mountains (she is a proud Colorado girl so she loves her mountains). She also loves spending time with her family and friends, writing/journalism, traveling, coaching, and working with children. Her career ambitions include working with non-profit organizations, working in sports journalism, or eventually becoming a coordinator for youth programs.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose Simpson because I was attracted to the small-school atmosphere. I wanted to attend a school where I could play volleyball, get a good education, build solid relationships, and grow in my spiritual life. Simpson ended up being a great fit and I have loved and enjoyed my time spent here!"
