High School: Herrington played four years of varsity volleyball at Days Creek High School. She also played basketball and ran track. She earned first team all-league and second team all-state volleyball honors in 2012 and 2013. Her team was Oregon state champion in 2011 and 2013. She earned championship game MVP both years. Her basketball honors include Defensive Player of the Year (2012) and being named to the all-defensive team (2012-2014). She finished third at the state championships in the triple jump in 2012 and 2013 and finished second in 2014. She was Math Student of the Year and Life Student of the Year in 2011 and received the President’s Award all four years she was in high school. She is also a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Jazmyn is the daughter of Anthony Herrington and Jami Burkhert.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "God lead me toward Simpson through my love for volleyball. I know that God has a plan for me and it will begin while attending Simpson University."
