College: Donovan is entering her second season playing for the Red Hawks. She transferred to Simpson from Shasta College. She was on the Dean’s List at both Simpson and Shasta and has earned scholar-athlete honors while at Simpson.

High School: Donovan attended the Academy of Personalized Learning and played two years of varsity volleyball at Liberty Christian High School. She was MVP and her team was the North State Division 6 Runner-Up in 2012. She holds the assists single-season record and the assists per set single-season record at Liberty Christian. She also played softball and earned MVP honors. She was valedictorian and earned the 4.0 Excellence Award. Her other academic achievements include Superintendent's Honor Roll, Student of the Semester, Rotary Student Choice, and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Member honors. She played club volleyball for North State Volleyball Academy and Commotion. She played club softball for Riptide.

Personal: Katelyn is the daughter of Kim and Louis Donovan. Her hobbies include drawing, painting, sculpting, reading, watching movies, eating, sleeping. Her career ambition is to become on artist.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I wanted to have the opportunity to receive my education at a Christian university close to home."
