College: Loogman is returning for her second year at Simpson. She transferred from Shasta College in Redding, Calif., prior to the 2011 season. While at Shasta, she was named All-League in the Shasta Cascade League, a Siskiyou County Athlete of the Year nominee, and All-League Honorable Mention in Golden Valley Conference. In 2011, she received All-California Pacific Conference honors and was named to the Dean's List.

High School: Loogman played four years of varsity volleyball at Etna High School. She played basketball and participated in track and field. She was named the Etna High School Athlete of the Year and was on honor roll.

Personal: Sara is the daughter of Chris and Emi Loogman. She is a cross cultural studies major and wants to teach English in other countries. She enjoys weight lifting, hiking, biking, other outdoor activities, traveling, design, and playing the piano.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "Simpson gave me a great opportunity to play volleyball while further advancing my education, and it has been a great place for me in many aspects."
